Steinway Artist Charl du Plessis records on New Model D
Steinway Artist Charl du Plessis is currently recording his first collaboration disc featuring violinist Zanta Hofmeyr. Recording sessions commenced on August 1st in Pretoria. This dynamic duo has been performing at major festivals in South Africa and has received rave reviews for their interpretation of music by Beethoven and Piazzolla as well as jazz favourites like Misty and The Man I Love. The proposed disc is due for release in October and will also feature music by pop artist Sting. All arrangements are made by Charl du Plessis and he records on a Steinway concert grand provided by Pianoforte – the Sole Southern African importers of the Steinway family of instruments.
